Mr. Le Truong Hai Hieu is the eldest son of former Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary and Politburo member Le Thanh Hai.
Mr. Hieu was named in the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2015-2020, but was not on the list of next term.
Of the 48 candidates introduced for the new term, 47 were re-elected. The only case of failing for re-election is Mr. Le Truong Hai Hieu.
In related personnel developments, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen was elected as the Secretary of the City Party Committee for the term 2020 – 2025 with 100% of the votes (62/62 votes).
